Israel Criticized for New Deaths as Cease-Fire Looms in Gaza Sure they're criticized, but not by people who have a mind at all. They have gone in with a minimum of violence and cleaned out Hamas. With only 1200 dead, a substantial portion of which were terrorists, they have cleaned house and Israelis in the region can have some confidence that they will not be attacked, at least for a while. I think it is great. I just hope the Israelis will be prepared to respond harshly the NEXT time they start taking fire from Gaza.
