MB, I looked at 5-10 year charts of the International CEFs in your portfolio. They all have a lot in common.

APF - Morgan Stanley Asia Pacific - today made an all-time low since inception

KF - Korea Fund - made at least a 5-year low

TTF - Thai Fund - up today and has recently been rallying from an all-time low

FPF doesn't interest me, although I guess that the Phillipine markets, economy, and standard of living have nowhere to go but up.

These funds reflect long-term bear markets in these countries. For what it's worth, the charts are really grim and look like the S&P500 turned upside down. Perhaps the THAI Fund's recent rally portends rallies in some of the others. I plan to buy some or all of them, but I am waiting for some sign of bottoming, perhaps an extreme in sentiment where everyone is panning them.
