Wonder why they are saying they can't fulfill Obama's "vision" for wind power unless "Congress makes an immediate, temporary change to the existing federal incentive for wind to make it effective in the current economic and financial context."

Btw, Just spoke with my uncle who's very well plugged into the atmospheric scientific community in Washington state..

Seems that some 30% of the windmills in Washington are either offline, or operating at reduced capacity, because they were installed incorrectly and put in the "wake" of another turbine. Apparently this limits the amount of wind force they receive and some are only turning at 30% capacity.

He stated there is also the problem of inadequate "interfacing" between the windmills and the grid so power is being wasted and not able to get to a market.
