the rapid increase in the world's largest credit bubble and the outright refusal to raise margin interest rates played no role?

also, i'm not blaming the entire thing on clinton, but there was a huge increase in credit and greenspan's new economy and productivity miracle BS to fan the flames.

i don't disagree that reagan and others played a role and i don't disagree with those who think going to a fiat money system plays a role.

but the kind of tech stock bubble we saw in the late 90s was unlike anything we had seen in recent history.
