Self actualization, imo, is a lot like developing "mindfulness". You're really just trying to look at yourself, and make the most of your life, and each moment, while trying to see your strengths and weaknesses and deal with them.

As we age some of us do this naturally. It's nice someone put a "name" on it, but still, the process came before the name. Really healthy happy people can do this without having a name to put on the way they go through life.
