I am a big believer in laughter-lol. And nothing is more fun. Our whole family is really funny. Come to think of it we use it almost like a language. I miss the parties we used to regularly have which were pretty much just an evening of laughing.

My one grand daughter is being raised by my daughter using humor as a sort of thesis e.g. if her child gets cranky, usually all it takes is a joke to get her in a better mood.

Works better than dicipline and is certainly better for the child.

I debate with Any Randians a lot. I do not like her philosophy. But her one tell tell sign is that she has no sense of humor. She is too serious and angry. Anyone who is so serious they cannot see the humor in their own positions and failings, is by equation a false prophet.

You are right, laughing at oneself makes the most sense of anything-lol
