what bothers me most is that both parties are trying to come up with ways to raise money rather than ways to cut spending. California's entitlement programs are sucking the life out of the state. Many businesses are leaving the state because it's too damned expensive to operate a business here. Hell, there's a reason movie production companies go to Vancouver, Louisiana and North Carolina rather than doing local productions. California has driven them away through excessive taxation.

The answer is cutting costs, not finding more ways to suck the population dry.
