to my eyes the smallest minority is the individual and the majority can not vote away inalienable rights of the individual.
if we are free then to me that means I own my life ... if I own my life then I own whatever I create ...
the law as far as I understand it is the constitution ... and limits government power protecting the individual from majority rule. but I am an arm chair constitutionalist, and may need to study more.
