If one of Bush's biggest mistakes was not trying to unify the nation, why do you insist on repeating that mistake? This is a Bush Bash I never got -- that he didn't try to "unite" the nation. It is silly. From the day he took office, he was never given a chance. The partisan attacks were everywhere, long before Bush had done a damned thing to deserve it. The simple truth is that the liberals were sore losers. They lost the election, it was a close one, even when they tried to steal it they lost it, and they just could not get past it. So, they took it out on America by wishing and hoping for a Bush failure. It would be like you and me saying, "I hope Obama fails to win in Afghanistan" or "I hope Obama mucks up Iraq" just so we could blame him for it. Conservatives would NEVER, EVER do that, yet it is precisely what the Left did when Bush took office in '01.
