I never said I hated plumbers, Why do you think I did ?
Why must you persist making up straw men ? My original statement was that a BS in Engineering was more beneficial to the holder than a masters plumbing certificate (if such exists). Because the trades are still highly unionized in major cities, it is laughable that a competent plumber is his own boss. Maybe if he plies the nickel and dime retail trade, but not if he's commercial and runs a business.

PS I know no plumbers nor have I ever hired one. One came with a water heater purchase years ago and he was psychotic to say the least. If I didn't pay for extra work, he was going to put a mechanics lien against my house. I said no and he screwed up the simple installation. A call to his boss got him fired, I believe, with a comment that enough is enough (whatever that means).
