I agree Ted, it is great that a nation with a majority of white people would elect a black man. However you overstated the nation of slave owners part. Only the south had slave owners and there never was a majority of slave owners, even in the south.

IMO it would have disappeared in the south even without the Civil War. But unfortunately this day would be decades away.
