1000....Bose has announced it will reduce its international workforce by about 10 percent, or about 1,000 positions, a restructuring move that comes in response to the tanking global economy that will bite into the local workforce. How many layoffs will occur at its corporate headquarters in town remains unclear, however, a Bose spokeswoman indicated the Massachusetts workforce will shrink. "We have been staffed for a growing economy, not a global recession,'' wrote Carolyn Cinotti, Bose spokeswoman in an e-mail.
