Some of them, yes. RW is just so hostile, ugly and partisan that he can't get past anything. Even tejek is making an EFFORT.

Even though I think Obama will not make a good president, today is a great day in America. That the country has elected a black man has to be considered the absolute END of racism in America. No longer can anyone claim the country is racist, that affirmative action is necessary, or that blacks don't have the same opportunity as whites.

At the same time if young black kids around the country see Obama as a role model rather than Dennis Rodman or PDiddy or any of a 1000 other poor role models, it absolutely is a good thing.

I think America comes out the end less of a country in some way -- we'll look more like socialist France, we move back toward appeasement, and we could well end up with health care rationing in the style of Canada -- trading the best health care system in the world for one that doesn't work.

OTOH, there is some value if black kids (and for that matter, white kids) start attaching value to human life, get the hell off drugs, and start respecting the rule of law.
