I have just started studying up on coal, but as I understand it the energy content of coal varies over a huge range. Believe the energy ranking (from low to high) is lignite, sub-bituminous, bituminous, anthracite. O.K. something like that, just talking off the top of my head.

I really need to do some studying if I want to invest in coal. That Gregor character is always talking about how he has spent 5000 hour studying oil.
