This is the position of about 60-70% of americans. You make a fool of yourself when you think that only liberals think this war was needless.

A very small portion of Americans have a freaking clue what this is all about -- well below 10% of the voting population has any understanding of the issue.

This is why competent leaders must be able to ignore polls and political pressure in favor of judgment.

I refer you to JFK's excellent book on the subject, "Profiles in Courage", which describes "political" courage. GWB obviously would be at the top of the list of Americans who have political courage.

But Bush's lack of intelligence/curiosity,

While he was a lousy communicator, there is no evidence to suggest he is less or more intelligent that Barack Obama or Bill Clinton.

What we DO know is that Bush has a deeper understanding of foreign policy than any president since Reagan. There is zero doubt about that fact.

That Obama is willing to negotiate directly, without preconditions, with terrorist and leaders of rogue states pretty much tells the story. Anyone who would do that is not qualified to be in the Oval Office.
