We don't have a King...what we have is an executive office, a President, and a division of power among three co-equal branches of government....by tradition and jurisprudence the executive has the power to designate enemy combatants .....that's the way the system has always worked .....the legislature has power of the purse and lawmaking power, the judiciary supervision of the courts, interpretation of the Constitution, etc.... Are you a US citizen?
