I've noticed the same thing, cheaper wines taste just as good, it's knowing the ones to pick (duh)...<g> Almost all my relatives were beer drinkers on my mothers side.... I wish you could have met my uncle Eddy. He looked just like one of the criminals on the Untouchables. Aunt Dorothy had throat cancer with the associated hole in her throat but she had a wonderful sense of humor.... Both of them seem to drink constantly but never seemed to get shitfaced... They're gone but I can't help think of the 2 when talking about drinking.
