>Find me one case of an IRS agent that is confused about having to pay self employment tax and I will consider your point.

>Until then the guy (Geithner) is just a scummy crook.

} don't have to... the IRS itself (as well as various outside agencies) has already widely reported their findings that about one half of all tax advice given out by IRS agents (when folks call in for tax advice) turns out to be incorrect.

>Please find me a quote saying that half of the IRS agents don't offer correct advice about SELF EMPLOYMENT TAX and your point is worth considering. Otherwise you are off base.

>Obama's designated Treasury appointee, Geithner, remains a tax cheat. Obama certainly does associate with a very scummy class of people.

}I'm sure you already know that no one would ever run a survey about such a narrow question.... :-)

>Thanks for your apology Buddy. It is shows self respect when you acknowledge you were totally out of line. So you admit your defense of Geithner the tax cheat was indefensible.

>Obviously there are some areas of the tax code tat are very complex. Self Employment tax is one of the simplest. You get to pay 15.3% of your income in addition to income taxes. Most employees remain oblivious that employers match their 7.65%; however self employed people get to pay both halves.

>Geithner chose to not pay his after being informed he was responsible for doing so.

Etc.

I have no doubt that the Senate will confirm the President of the New York Federal Reserve Bank to be the new Secretary of the Federal Treasury.

It is a sad day for America when a tax cheat's crimes are minimized because he is a democrat.
