This week's New Yorker was much thinner than usual. I haven't checked the text/ad ratio to see if it's less but I suspect you are right. We are like sheep. We have all stopped spending at once and that is how the economy crashes huh? I suspect the amount of newspaper ads is but another signal of lack of spending. Market is awful again today and I thought it might be up. I thought maybe some Obama "feel good" would be good for more than one day. But then the Microsoft news.....arrrrrrggg! steve
