Just because nothing has happened here in 8 years, doesnt make its probability very small. We are safer because our government post 9/11 improved our ability to counter terrorism. Also our military has kept their leaders in caves and unable to grow the organization.
Its unwise to underestimate your enemy. Also since the stated aim of AQ is a big hit using WMD, I wouldnt be so sanguine about how large a death toll they could get.
So if its only 10% chance for a 100,000 dead american hit, call me stupid but i worry.
Hell i hope you are right but you become less right every time we let our guard down.
