i think, and i use the word think carefully, the truth of the matter is that obama is of the system, and it is the system that is systemically faulty, mainly in that the system is a rule of the elite by way of convincing the ruled that 'they', the mob, are in charge, and the rule is allegedly of the supposed majority over itself and the apparent minority, whereas in fact the majority of the electorates, unlike in the founding days, are manifestly and now proven to be less than able, wasting the serendipitous legacy. even the elite are not able, so never mind the alleged majority or the apparent minority.
the system is not as originally designed, nor is it as originally meant to work. the system is now systemically degraded and heading to kaputdom.
the fact that obama is a black man is neither here nor there, except for being a milestone, and yes, it will increase african-american self-respect, but self-respect is just that and no more, because the system is spendthrift, and spendthrift is over.
besides, it is not apparent to me that the average african-american lacked self-respect in the past. they may have not been respected by others, and that, for the weight that matters, may not have changed in any material way.
over the next 4 years, i am of the firm belief that all will be worse. let us watch and brief. how can it be otherwise when all the president's substantive men and material women are very much known quantities?
watch and brief to continue, starting with the next few posts to you, and afaiac, obama is guilty until proven innocent, because that is the safer course to adopt.
as to the situation in the middle east, it is 1000 years in the making, and apparently the majority of americans feel one particular way about the situation, and so the situation continues, because for both sides, it is a matter of "forever", and if we are to believe george friedman's take on the foundation of american policy, that is to disrupt all everywhere, then obama-clinton will likely continue their evil ways.
first up, naturally, china, to be set up by nasa-pentagon.
no matter, the schema will fail, as it has been failing for 60 years already.
