There is little worse than the headache one gets from too much bad wine.

My partner has a son who has a very accomplished nose. Wine that you or I might think smells perfectly fine he will pronounced is corked. He is invariably right.

One time my partner, his wife and son were at a winery tasting the supposedly best wines. The winemaker asked what they thought and my friend's son commented that the wine was bad. The guy got real upset and rushed them out of the room. It turned out that the wine did have a problem but it was all but unnoticeable to most consumers. He apparently was trying to pass it off as good and get rid of the inventory. He did not appreciate Adam's remarks.
