Mike,

You wrote-

In all fairness, he has a MA in economic policy from Johns Hopkins that came from their school of international studies. He doesn't have a traditional degree in economics that is offered from the school of arts and sciences. If you look at the two course requirements there's a big difference.

And don't forget that his first job out of college was with Kissinger & Associates. Again, way too political, IMO.

I don't mind that Obama appoints experts that may be blind to proper policy. After all, he maintains that he understands policy and speech writing better than anyone around him. And I was a believer in that(maybe I still am). But now I'm not so sure, unless he has some grand clever plan to use someone like Geithner to just be an appeaser to the Wall Street crowd while he takes a pragmatic turn and screws the same. That strategy might actually work now that I think about it.

Anyhow, I hope Sheila Blair(and others who are speaking up) is going to get a voice in this. If not, so much for the wanting of all opinions within his administration.
