For the money, this will cover most of the territory except metal and leave you money for a good amp. The LP isn't much good for folksy rocky stuff . See: reviews.harmony-central.com guitarcenter.com Best to go and play a couple at your local GC. Mostly I play a home brew tele made from Warmoth parts with Duncan Broadcasters and 1967 Guild Starfire IV with Guild mini humbuckers which has taken the place of the Epi Sheraton here. You know the old joke: How many guitars does a guitar player really need? - - - - One more than he has now.
