That is the truth, ain't it?

I bought two printers a few days ago. One of them was wireless, which I got for $69. The other was basic, which I got for $8.91. Heck the cartridge costs $20!

Both made in China, of course. The wireless printer works pretty well, so I'm swallowing my disgust.

My Dad used to say that the only way to create wealth was to dig it out of the ground. All other forms are derivatives of that. And we don't do much of that any more. We let China do that for us because they don't have the Sierra Club to contend with.

In Ohio, I talked to the guy who ran a metal recycling place last year, where I took truckloads of scrap metal out of the sheep shed. This year he is not doing that. Says the bottom dropped out of the metals market when the Chinese stopped buying. Apparently they bought a lot in preparation for the Olympics.
