Obama's minister simply had a good flair for shocking verbiage.
And quite a racist agenda that promoted division between the races, not unity.
I'll tell you what.. If my minister had said the following A WEEK AFTER 9/11, I would have ended my membership in that church and demanded that he apologize to the congregation:
In addition to damning America, he told his congregation on the Sunday after Sept. 11, 2001 that the United States had brought on al Qaeda's attacks because of its own terrorism. "We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye," Rev. Wright said in a sermon on Sept. 16, 2001.

And I don't buy the "god is punishing" the US BS either. I would have demanded an apology from any pastor who expressed such a sentiment.
The thing about all this is that Trinity Church focuses upon anti-white racial comments and it's not something that has suddenly cropped up in the past 2 years. It's been a staple of their religious "diet" for decades, with Wright heaping praise upon racists like Farrakhan and others:

Wright's church even game Farrakhan a lifetime achievement award:

Obama may have joined the church to establish his "black credentials" in order to get elected to the Senate, but it just doesn't' fly with me that he never heard any of Wright's more racially inflammatory sermons.
But Obama's a politician, and he knows how to discard those people who have served their purpose and no long add to his agenda. But it doesn't speak very highly of his integrity. A man character SHOULD BE incorporated into assessing his personality, beliefs, and integrity.
But go right ahead and remain in denial.
