A perfect summary of ID's fatal flaw; it really is just a way to say, science hasn't reached this level yet so it must be something unknowably supernatural.

Indeed, ID turns out to be just another example of the tired old “God-in-the-gaps” reasoning. It implies that we have to resort to the supernatural every time there’s some aspect of nature we don’t fully understand.
