Midwest,

if you have any investment advice over the next year, do share it.

i like TBT (RYJUX if you can't tolerate the 2x risk of TBT), CEF, NGD as a speculation and COSWF (but be careful to leave powder dry over the short term - oil is getting hammered).

i'm also working on a few covered call (income generation) plays, but i like high dividend yielding stocks that with very strong balance sheets. you don't want to write a call on a bannk that might not be around in 6 months.

i'm also eyeing merck, ko and j&j (good dividends, strong companies, not sure about obamas health care plans wrt merck). the dividends and covered call income should generate a very good total return. i see the market mostly in a trading pattern with downward pressure.

i tend to buy / sell in thirds only when the valuation changes. that can happen due to price changes or fundamental changes.

what do you recommend?
