Obama and the Dems are determined to shut out opposing voices except when they need the Republicans for cover.

For Democrats, compromise means doing it their way and liking it.

One of my husband's favorite expressions for this sort of situation is: "I may have to take your sh*t, but I don't have to eat it."

That should be the GOP message, imo.

They, for once, need to stand up for their principles. If the Dems are intent on their drunken spending, the Republicans should just vote *no* and let the opposition take the fall. You know they'll take any possible credit no matter what and will blame the Republicans if given any chance.

I think it's also time for Republicans to take their case to the people. You just watch what's happening with small businesses. No one is going to continue to put their heart and soul into small business just to please Obama and his tax the rich rhetoric.

So, to bottom line it, you can't be above this fray. That was tried by Bush and you see what that got him.
