Today, I heard Brinker telling a caller that 2008 was "brutal year" in the stock market -- "perhaps the worst ever." But he sure didn't mention the fact that he was fully invested all the way -- or calling bottoms throughout the year. It would be funny, if it wasn't so tragic. He must have been comfortable that he could control any questions that the caller might asked him as a response to what he was saying. MOF: I can't say for sure, but I don't think he ever let that caller make any follow up comments. Back in his 1990's hay-days, I would never have imagined that he would resort to filling time discussing what "destroyed the music business." But it was better than the almost verbatim repeat of Saturday during the first two hours. 8) .
