I couldn't direct you to the books you're seeking, but I've no doubt they've been written. I wish my Dad were alive.........he'd know where they are.

As for sea sickness. I believe it all depends on how rough the seas are. I can go out in pretty rough seas for days at a time and not get "sick", but if I have to endure those rough seas for more than a week, I start getting sea sick and want to go back to shore. I've never googed it or looked up the cause, but I'd guess it has a lot to do with the inner ear.
