That's not true. Recall that the single greatest point and % gain for the Dow -- ever -- occured the day after the Black Monday stock market crash in 1987. And the stock market continued to roar for 10 more years...and counting. Hong Kong has seen a 23% total decline. It's time for recovery...and don't forget China just lowered interest rates.
