If some county in the US, or across the border in Mexico, started rocketing US population centers, and sending suicide bombers to attack concentrations of civilians we would also attack. With police forces if it was in the US and a small enough problem, with the military if it was not.
Israel's no saint, but Israel tries to keep civilian casualties on both sides down, while Hamas tries to makes sure that many civilians get killed, both by targeting Israeli civilians, and by hiding behind Palestinian civilians. When one side is issuing warnings to civilians, and the other is making indescriminate attacks from schools and hospitals, its kindof hard to support the later.
This is so amazing. In 1900, the Palestinians were farming and ranching the land that had been theirs for thousands of years. Suddenly, all these Zionist Jews start popping up, buying land from the Brits and the Turks. Forty years later, they finagle the US into getting them their own country, dispossessing the very Palestinians from their land. When the Palestinians would not fight the ohter Arabs for Israel, the Israelis then took away all their possessions and property and forced the Palestinians into refugee camps which they have been relegated to ever since. Meanwhile, the Israelis have been slowly stealing Palestinian land and water for their settlements in the occupied territories.
And you're frigging surprised that the Palestinians are pissed and are trying to fight back??? Explain to me how you are able to come to that conclusion. |
