What is it about liberals in that they have such a tendency to focus on the outlier to make a point? It's not just you two either....really is a common trait, I've noticed.

Hmm, I haven't noticed that as a sin of a particular political stripe. All too common on SI. A lot of times it's not, however, an attempt to dodge a point; just the issue the poster wanted to talk about.
