Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld did that to our defense, Justice, and economic systems. The results were dsastrous.

For right now, I think we just have to go neutral on the soft stuff. The best measure for success is to pick people based on pure intelligence. A simple IQ test is the best measure.

The US military has a simple GT (general technical) test that is the best predictor of success.

Similarly, New York City has a little more rigorous test to select admission to their elite high schools (Bronx science and Stuyvesant). Admissions is based purely based on the test. They do no interviews. They do not accept recommendations. The results are fantastic. They turn out the most merit scholarship winners, Intel Science Finalists, Nobel Prize Winners, and the highest SAT scores yhear after year.

They are so successful that there is always pressure on the system to change the format.

BTW Eric Holder is a graduate. He then went on to Columbia and then Columbia Law School. You know this guy is smart. You know he will be successful.
