You're right, but only because the Republicans don't hold their feet to the fire.

For example, Specter and Hatch both supporting Eric Holder. Why?

Because unlike Schumer, they believe that maintaining the meaning of the Constitution's "Advise & Consent" role is more important to them than is the current game of political one-upmanship.

As frustrating as it is to watch, the Republicans are correct.

Rather than chipping away at the power of the president the way the Democrats do, the Republicans respect the fact that the Constitution does not envision Congress interfering with presidential power on the advise and consent function. The Framers never intended that Congress have a veto power over the president's choices. Never even considered it.

This is just more of the Democrats disrespecting the Constitution, the country, and presidency. Except when THEIR GUY is in office, of course.
