Idiots guide to interpreting media reports about political corruption:

If it is on the front page the party will be identified in the headline and it is a Republican who will soon be out of work.

If no party affiliation is given it was a democrat. Notice also that it appeared on a seldom read inner page. Also notice that instead of criminal, cheat etc. it is called a mistake or something similarly disarming. The offending politician will be allowed to remain in office until death or similar event.
