There are a zillion different reasons each could be inapplicable to our current situation.

Yes - and what we are entering could even be worse than the great depression. In some ways I think it will be. That depression most lived in places where they could grow their own food or get it from neighbors. What happens if our food production or electric grid breaks down in todays world? Yikes.

Lumber futures broke below 140 today - my gosh! And California Governor giving state workers two days off a month - I assume without pay - to balance their budget. I wondered how we could have deflation when government workers are guaranteed a wage. Well in fact they are not.

More layoffs today - they just keep coming in droves now. How does that turn around? The consequences of these layoffs will be felt not today - but shortly.

Congress needs to come out of their corners and do it now to look for a solution. We need big time thinking not this constant whining ......"I'm right and you're wrong".
