Soooooo, that money going to food stamps and extra unemployment compensation or child care or condoms is not a stimulus.

I continue to disagree with you vociferously that they are not a stimulus--any spending that pumps money into the economy creating jobs short term would be a stimulus--I'm very disappointed in what I read about this bill. Way too much long term stuff in it. That won't cut it. Resodding the Mall, which I read has been removed for political reasons, would be more of a stimulus than some of the stuff that remains. At least that could be done soon and it would employ people.
