Obama: Wall Street bonuses shameful, irresponsible Thu Jan 29, 2009 3:45pm EST WASHINGTON, Jan 29 (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama on Thursday said large bonuses received by Wall Street executives last year were "shameful." He said his administration would tell financial executives that they needed to show restraint. "When I saw an article today indicating that Wall Street bankers had given themselves $20 billion worth of bonuses ... That is the height of irresponsibility.
