John, I respect the Times reporting, but the Editorials tend toward liberal left wing standard fare--IMHO. I did read the editorial you posted and don't think one can have much of a serious discussion about it. Its their unsubstantiated opinion--most of which I disagree with-- versus my (and yours) unsubstantiated opinions.

I do maintain you have to put the "Times" in the context of the cultural milieu in which it sits--entitlementville mixed with a lot of liberal guilt about all the money they've made.
