I saw that piece in the WSJ today and thought it ironic for someone who worked with a president whose approval ratings ended up in the toilet, to be critical of how someone else will organize the White House staff.

I suspect the rule in the old White House was for Karl and the VP to decide how things should be, then take it to Bush to be blessed. Obama may benefit from having a few more voices and POVs involved.
