Taken from IBD today... "US firms, already distracted with Year 2000 conversion efforts, should prepare "immediately" for Europe's monetary conversion, says consulting firm IMI Systems. The EC plans its switch to the euro - a new, single currency - on 1/1/99. Businesses will need to make considerable changes to systems to manage older currencies and the euro." DD
