Yikes! What are they gonna do about the pensions? They're suing. But I doubt they'd ever get more than pennies on the dollar, if that much. My stepfather, a retired physician, told me that a very large orthopedic group (20+ doctors, many more staff) had everything with the Fairfield-Greenwich Group...which sliced 1.5% off the top and gave it to Madoff. They have nothing. The ramifications of the Madoff swindle are all over those towns. It's going to change them in ways that I don't think anyone can forsee. This is why I keep posting about Madoff. For me it's personal. Or close to it.
