I would think so. The problem is nobody in the government
understands what they are, so we'll stumble through this
crisis in trial and error. Even if they take over the banks,
how can the government that does not have a clue unwinds the
risk? Some kind of regulation is definitely needed, and I
think we'll see that shortly, such as putting the bulk of
OTC derivatives on exchanges.
