yesterday was skyping with an old school chum of mine who is now based in Barcelona. i had missed the story of what's happening there - it seems that true panic is brewing in Spain. he said that people are visibly angry and that social dislocations might be imminent. lots of backlash against immigrants and the government. Spain is extreme, but my understanding is that many parts of Europe are not far behind. What price gold then?
