Anything is possible.

But if he spend this trillion and it doesn't turn the economy around, or if there is another terrorist attack on his watch, he's history. His actions in the first two weeks have assured that much.

It is a crapshoot. If the economy happens to turn around (which will not have been a result of the spending, but he'll get credit for it anyway) then he rolls a hard-way. If there is no terrorist attack, he is lucky, and both of those -- he's got a great shot at re-election if he doesn't screw anything else up.

Should either of those things go against him, he's out.
