Bush-Cheney's godawful excuse for a war had no purpose except to gratify his own ego and the coffers of Halliburton, Bectel, Big Oil, Big Weapons, etc. It also had abolustley nothing to do with 9-11 except it made Al Qaida ten times as strong and got radical anti-Americans into power in Iran. It was one of the grossest and most selfish blunders in US history. Bush-Cheney both deserve to be hung for what they did in Iraq and how they abused the power of war-mongering to try and crack down on democracy and citizen's rights in this country. What it was was incompetent fascism. Nothing more or less. And if you think El Sadr is better than Saddam Hussein, so it was worth it, well - at least we have Obama now to throw water on the whole fire. Obama is really a life-saver after the horrendous corruption and blunders of the Bush years. But the economic disaster is more than anyone can fix quickly. All told, the Bush GOP probably cost this country 20 trillion dollars, and left nothing to show for it. So if you support them or their pro-billionaire pro-big business deregulation policies, call yourself a traitor.
