I am an original bleeding heart. But i learned over the years to temper that fbo the ecoonomy so not to kill incentive or waste taxpayer resources. Reagan/Bush/Clinton got it for the most part. End of welfare as we knew it came on clintons watch. But that never means that a conservative should become so mean spirited as to attack folks who are really in need in the midst of a crisis.
That also applys to the health care mess which also just cant either be allowed to get worse in these times or put in the hands of insurance companies to fix.

Conservatives don't care about these people because they worry their taxes will go up because of these people. Its always about the money with wingers EXCEPT when it comes to having a war. Why? Because wars are lucrative.
