The "infrastructure" is just fine in Orange County, San Jose, Lake Tahoe, Marin County, the central CA coast, and San Diego. Maybe even San Francisco and San Diego for the most part.

It's LA that's a real dump. Going up the I-5, I can already tell when I'm crossing the OC/LA county border.

Anyway, spending hardly relates to quality of service. People should expect more from a government that spends more per citizen, but they certainly don't get it.

Now people won't even get their tax refunds. No big deal; just apply it to this year's withholdings. Great bind the state put itself in. And liberals want to "raise revenue" the old-fashioned way: squeeze it out of the taxpayers.
